National: The ten-day Ganesh festival has started today (7 September) across the country including Madhya Pradesh. On this occasion, the idol of Lord Ganesha will be installed in homes, pandals and temples across the state. 

During this time, a 10-day fair will be organized at the ancient Shri Ganesh temple at Sehore district headquarters near Bhopal. Devotees from all over the country come to have darshan of Lord Chintaman.

The special thing is that there are only four such temples in the whole country, which are located in Sehore, Ujjain, Gujarat and Rajasthan. Similarly, the administration has made tight arrangements for the ten-day fair. More than 200 police personnel will handle the security arrangements here.

Let us tell you, thousands of devotees visit this historic temple of Lord Ganesha, which is famous all over the state, for ten days to take darshan. People keep visiting this temple of Peshwa period throughout the year, but due to the special importance of these ten days, a huge crowd gathers. 

This story about the temple is famous,
although state level VIPs come here throughout the year to have darshan and to fulfill their wishes. This temple of Sehore is said to be very ancient. There is a legend that the idol installed here was found in the river Parvati and when it was being taken somewhere, it remained here and the temple was established. 

This famous temple complex is said to be from the Peshwa period, which is proof of the fact that the Peshwas later constructed it in a bigger size as a temple and since then it became a famous name in the state.

There will be a three-tier security
system at the Ganesh temple during the festival, in which soldiers will be deployed in two shifts inside the Ganesh temple, outside it and in the parking lot, apart from this ten check points will be made. To ensure that traffic is not affected, there will be a single route from Indore Naka for the visitors. 

On the other side, the exit will be from the Sugar Factory crossing. Heavy vehicles will be banned on this route during the ten-day fair. Apart from this, the Nagar Palika will make parking arrangements for bikes in front of the Ganesh temple and for four-wheelers both in and in front of Annapurna Colony.

How to reach Chintaman Ganesh Temple
- If you are coming from Bhopal via the old highway, then you can reach Ganesh Temple by turning left from Bhopana Bus Stand, Hospital Square, Tehsil Square, Sugar Factory Square.
- If you are coming via Bhopal-Indore Highway, then you can reach Ganesh Temple by entering from Sakadakhedi Road, turning left from Post Office Square, then turning left from Hospital Square, Tehsil Square, Sugar Factory Square.
- Apart from this, if you enter from Crescent and are coming from Indore Naka or Indore, then you can reach Ganesh Temple directly from Karbala Pul via Soya Chaupal, next to Mantri Petrol Pump, via Dasharabagh.
- If you come from the railway station for darshan, then you can go by auto or horse carriage. If you go on foot, then it is three kms. First you can reach Ganesh Temple by turning right from Sugar Factory Square and then from Durga Temple.
