National: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav raised the issue of changing the tradition of burial during last rites by the Nath sect in the present times. After this, political rhetoric has started. Representatives of the Nath sect are holding many important positions in the country, including Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. In such a situation, this round of rhetoric may continue further.

CM Mohan Yadav had organized a conference for the Vimukta, nomadic and semi-nomadic communities at his residence, in which people from different communities participated. On this occasion, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the people of the nomadic, semi-nomadic and Vimukta communities should do some business while staying near their homes. He said that if some people of the community are found involved in crime, the entire community cannot be considered criminals.

On this occasion, CM Yadav also talked about changing the tradition of funeral by Nath sect. He said that in the present times, the tradition of burial should be changed. In his address, he said that the ancestors are ours and some other people take advantage by offering chadar on the tomb. Keeping this in mind, steps should be taken for change.

We need education and employment, not knowledge - Congress
State Congress President Jeetu Patwari has targeted Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav on the suggestion of improving the way of last rites by the Nath sect. He has said that everyone in India has the right to civil and religious freedom. In such a situation, every caste, religion, sect, faith has its own traditions. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav is knowledgeable and philosophical but he should work towards helping the Nath sect in educating them and giving them employment. He said that change in their lives will come not by changing traditions but by education and employment.

Nath sect dominates politics.
In many states of the country including Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan, representatives of Nath sect hold important positions. In such a situation, the interference of Nath sect in politics can also be gauged. Many public representatives including Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath , Rajasthan MLA Mahant Balak Nath belong to Nath sect. Due to this, politics has now started regarding the statement of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav.

The Nath sect has its own identity; they purify themselves through yoga and fire
. The followers of Guru Gorakhnath purify themselves through fire and yoga. This is the reason why fire is not used during last rites. The Nath sect bury the dead body during last rites. During the discussion in front of the Chief Minister, it came up that such a step is being taken due to lack of space. The Chief Minister has announced from the stage that along with housing, land lease, Anganwadi, road, electricity and other facilities, space for cremation ground will also be provided to the people of the Nath sect.
