National: If you are searching for someone's mobile number or contact number on Google, then be careful, you may be cheated if you do so. A similar case has come to light from Shahdol.

In Shahdol, a person searched for a doctor's number on Google to make an appointment. When he called the number found on Google, he was cheated. 

The victim was defrauded of Rs 96,998 in the name of getting an appointment with a doctor at a private hospital in Raipur, however, this amount has been refunded through Cyber ​​Cell Shahdol.

Robbery in the name of doctor's appointment
Gulshan Jaisinghani's grandparents living under Shahdol's Kotwali police station had to go to Chhattisgarh's Raipur for treatment. Before going to the doctor, they searched the mobile number (contact number) on Google to get an appointment. Gulshan called on the mobile number obtained from Google. 

On calling, it was said that to get a doctor's appointment, you have to fill a Google form, if you have any problem in filling the Google form, then tell us. We will get your Google form filled. After this, the Google form came on Gulshan's mobile number. 

Cybercriminals stole Rs 97,000 from the account.
Complete information like Aadhaar number, mobile number, name and address was filled in the Google form. As soon as they submitted the Google form, they got a call that they have to pay the appointment fee to the doctor and transfer the money through UPI. 

To pay the doctor's appointment fee, a fee of Rs 500 was deposited through Google Pay. Immediately after paying the fee, messages started coming continuously about deduction of Rs 20,000 and Rs 10,000 from the account and Rs 96,998 was deducted from the bank account. 

Due to the promptness of the cyber cell, the accused
Gulshan immediately went to the bank and froze his account and complained about the entire matter to the cyber cell of Shahdol. On Gulshan's complaint, the cyber cell of Shahdol took immediate action and put the related amount on hold in the account.

The officials contacted the concerned bank and took action to get the applicant's entire amount of Rs 96,998 refunded. Due to which the cyber criminals failed to withdraw money from Gulshan's account and the victim heaved a sigh of relief. Gulshan expressed his gratitude to Shahdol Police for this action.

Police made this appeal to the people
Shahdol Superintendent of Police Kumar Pratik has appealed to the general public that in case of cyber crime, they should register a complaint on 1930 and NCRP portal and immediately inform the cyber cell. 

Avoid cyber crimes related to sextortion, fake trading, fake loan apps and online gaming. Do not search the contact number of any organization on Google, rather get the contact number from the official ID of the organization.
