National: There is a tussle going on in the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) regarding the chief ministerial face in the Maharashtra assembly elections. In fact, Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar) President Sharad Pawar said on Wednesday (September 4) that there is no need for the MVA to declare the chief ministerial face before the Maharashtra assembly elections. Pawar said that the decision regarding who will be the Chief Minister can be taken after the election results.

He said that the chief ministerial candidate will be decided on the basis of which party in the alliance wins the most seats. He said that he wants the MVA to complete the seat sharing process and start the election campaign as soon as possible.

Nana Patole supported

Maharashtra Congress President Nana Patole also supported his statement. Patole said that we will go to the elections as Mahavikas Aghadi and MVA will be our strength, we will decide the CM later.

After the statements of both the leaders, it was believed in the political circles that this will weaken the claim of Uddhav Thackeray. In fact, Shiv Sena UBT, which is part of MVA, has been demanding to make Uddhav Thackeray the CM face before the elections.

What did Aditya Thackeray say?

Meanwhile, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader and Uddhav Thackeray's son Aditya Thackeray said that there is no conflict between the three constituents of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) over the post of Chief Minister of Maharashtra. Thackeray said that the objective of the opposition alliance is to oust the current government of Shiv Sena, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP).

"It is clear that our fight is not against anyone. It is against the Maharashtra government and we want this government to be removed from power in the state. This is our main objective," Thackeray said before visiting rain-affected villages in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jalna, Parbhani, Hingoli and Nanded districts.

On Sharad Pawar's statement that the name of the MVA's chief ministerial candidate will be decided after the elections, he said, "This is correct. There will be internal discussions. No one is fighting for the post of Chief Minister. But there can be a tug of war over seats. Everyone will claim every seat."

What did Aditya Thackeray say on the statement of BJP leader?

When asked about former Union Minister Raosaheb Danve's statement that the BJP will suffer losses after Shiv Sena (UBT) president Uddhav Thackeray left the alliance with the BJP, Thackeray said, "For the first time the BJP has said something true."
