National: Mahavikas Aghadi is protesting against the fall of the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Sindhudurg, Maharashtra. On the other hand, the ruling BJP has also come out on the streets today (31 August) protesting against the politics being done in the matter of the statue falling. Mumbai BJP President Ashish Shelar will also join it later. Let us tell you that PM Narendra Modi has apologized for the Sindhudurg incident but the opposition has termed it as insufficient and political apology.

BJP workers have started protesting. They are asking questions from MVM about the encroachment in Vishalgarh. The opposition has accused the Mahayuti government of corruption and nepotism in giving the contract of making the statue. The MVA march has started from Hutatma Chowk in Fort and will go till Gateway of India. However, MVA workers and leaders have been stopped at Hutatma Chowk as permission has not been received from the police for this march.

MVA did not respect Shivaji Maharaj - Fadnavis
On the other hand, on the MVA protest, Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis said, "This movement that is happening today is a completely political movement. This MVA never respected Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Show me even one speech of Pandit Nehru and Indira ji in which they have mentioned Shivaji Maharaj. Nehru ji insulted Shivaji Maharaj in his Discovery of India. Will MVA and Congress apologize for that? Kamal Nath's government in Madhya Pradesh removed Shivaji's statue with a bulldozer. Will Congress apologize for that?

Sharad Pawar and Uddhav will also be present.
Women workers of Shiv Sena-UBT are also protesting on the streets and they are saying that they do not accept the apology sought by the government. The activists said that the government is committing atrocities and hooliganism is taking place in the state. Women are not safe. NCP-SP chief Sharad Pawar and Shiv Sena-UBT chief Uddhav Thackeray and Congress leader Nana Patole will also reach the Gateway of India today.
