National: Monsoon rains have created havoc in Rajasthan. Flood-like conditions have arisen in many districts including Ajmer. Rivers and streams in Rajsamand, Bhilwara and Bharatpur are overflowing with water. Ajmer administration has declared a holiday in schools for the next two days in view of the rain. People of Rajasthan are not going to get relief from rain yet. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of rain with strong winds in many districts.

The data of rainfall in the last 24 hours in eastern and western Rajasthan has come out. The highest rainfall was recorded in Banswara of eastern Rajasthan. 169 mm rainfall was recorded in Lohariya of Banswara. 102 mm rainfall was recorded in Raipur Pali of western Rajasthan. In the last 24 hours, the highest maximum temperature of the state was recorded at 36.8 degrees in Bikaner and the highest minimum temperature was recorded at 26.4 degrees Celsius in Jaisalmer. Rains were accompanied by heavy thunder in Ajmer, Dausa, Banswara, Rajsamand, Jaipur, Tonk, Sawaimadhopur, Karauli, Nagaur and Pratapgarh. 

Rain situation in eastern Rajasthan

According to the Meteorological Department, there has been heavy rain in eastern Rajasthan. Banswara has received 17 cm rain, Rajsamand 14 cm, Dausa 14 cm, Ajmer 13 cm, Jhalawar 10 cm, Banswara 9 cm, Pratapgarh 8 cm, Alwar 8 cm, Karauli 8 cm, Jaipur 7 cm, Behror 7 cm, Jahazpur 6 cm, Bhilwara 6 cm and Begu 6 cm rain. Due to heavy rains, many places are flooded.

There has been 10 cm rain in Raipur of Pali district, 7 cm in Merta of Nagaur, 3 cm in Pokharan of Jaisalmer, 2 cm in Nawa of Nagaur and heavy rain at other places. The Meteorological Department has once again issued a rain alert for Pali, Nagaur and Jaisalmer. No major change is seen in Ajmer, Jaipur, Kota, Udaipur, Jodhpur and Bikaner divisions. The weather will remain the same. Meaning there is a possibility of rain.
