National: Another incident of rape of a minor girl has come to light in Ayodhya. In this case too, the girl belongs to the Scheduled Caste and the accused belongs to another community. The incident took place in Khandasa police station area. However, the police acted swiftly and arrested the accused Shahban after an encounter. The accused has been shot in the leg. He has been admitted to the district hospital. His accomplice fled from the spot.

In fact, 20 days ago, a youth from another community of the village had raped a Dalit minor in Rai Patti Chiraindhapur of Khandasa police station area. At the time of the rape, a friend of the accused was also present. After the incident, the accused and his companions fled. But the series of threats to the victim's family continued. Even on September 2, the accused youth along with his companions once again reached the victim's house and threatened them.

The accused was shot during the encounter
Late on Thursday night, the police tried to stop two accused riding a motorcycle. According to the police, the main accused Shahabad opened fire on the police team. In response to which the police also opened fire. In which a bullet hit Shazban's leg. Taking advantage of the darkness, his other companion sitting on the motorcycle fled.

Several cases were already registered against the accused.
On Thursday night, the police was conducting an intensive investigation campaign when the police stopped a motorcyclist for investigation and the youths opened fire on the police. In the retaliatory action of the police, one youth was injured and the other escaped taking advantage of the darkness. The police admitted the injured youth to the district hospital and during interrogation, the arrested Shahban turned out to be the accused of rape. An FIR was also registered against him in Khandsa police station under sections of SC ST Act, rape, POCSO and threatening.
