National: Just a day before the convocation, Chaudhary Charan Singh University of Meerut turned into an arena. Under the banner of ABVP, hundreds of students protested against Vice Chancellor Professor Sangeeta Shukla. The students were so angry that they tried to forcibly enter the VC's office and got into a scuffle with the police. The students succeeded in entering the VC office campus, but when they could not enter the office, they sat there protesting.

In Chaudhary Charan Singh University of Meerut, ABVP has opened a front against Vice Chancellor Professor Sangeeta Shukla. Today, hundreds of students from many districts came to CCSU to protest under the banner of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad. The students were adamant on the demand to call the Vice Chancellor on the spot, but when the VC did not come to meet the students, the students got furious and started going inside the VC office. When the police stopped them, there was a lot of pushing and shoving with the police. The students entered the VC office campus by pushing the policemen and QRT. Some students also reached the VC office campus by jumping over the campus gate.

Attempt to uproot the shutter of VC's office, altercation with police
Students from many districts of western Uttar Pradesh entered the office campus of VC Prof. Sangeeta Shukla, but as a precaution the shutter of her office was locked. When the students entered the VC's office campus by pushing the police, they got more enraged on seeing the shutter closed. The students were so angry that they started attempting to uproot the shutter. They tried to uproot the shutter by shaking it vigorously. This left the police in a state of panic. Some students even climbed on the shutter. When the police stopped the students, then after an argument over this there was a heated argument and a lot of pushing and shoving.

Under the banner of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, the students were camping outside the VC office. Many serious allegations of corruption were being made against the VC. The VC was adamant on the demand to call Prof. Sangeeta Shukla on the spot. Holding placards in their hands, the students were making all kinds of allegations. The students announced that they were being given five minutes, if the VC did not come, they would forcibly enter the VC office. The police administration and the CCSU administration took the students' warning lightly. Then what happened was that the crowd of students moved forward and pushing the police reached the VC office campus. ABVP's state minister Kshama Sharma, state co-minister Arjun warned that they will not go anywhere, the indefinite protest will continue here.

Force was called from many police stations, officers kept taking updates every moment
as Chaudhary Charan Singh University's convocation is on Tuesday. CCSU administration was busy in its preparations, but everyone was unaware that such a big protest will be held today under the banner of ABVP. Students warned that what is the problem, the governor should know how much corruption VC Prof. Sangeeta Shukla is doing and how the students are roaming around helplessly. Due to this protest becoming even bigger, force from many police stations was called. Many more RPF squads were also called and a big security ring was made.


 

CCSU became an arena before the convocation, there was a scuffle between police and students

There was commotion and chaos in Chaudhary Charan Singh University throughout the day. Seeing the attitude of ABVP leaders and anger of students, a delegation of students met Chaudhary Charan Singh University VC Prof. Sangeeta Shukla late in the evening and put forth their demands before her. A memorandum was given alleging irregularities in university appointments, irregularities in fees and facilities of regular and self-financed students, dissolution of the Dean of Student Welfare and recognition of private schools without investigation.

Along with this, the VC was accused that why one lakh rupees is spent every time to stay in a five star hotel instead of using the government guest house while going to Lucknow. ABVP's state minister Kshama Sharma says that all our demands were accepted and assurances were also given for the future. Therefore, the students have ended the protest, if the promise is broken then the way for agitation is always open.
