National: In UP's Pilibhit, two days ago, 6 hunters who entered the restricted area of ​​Tiger Reserve, attacked the forest department team, hunted deer and chital and escaped with government rifles have been arrested by the police in an encounter. Two rifles and licensed revolver along with the gun snatched from the forest department and equipment used for killing wild animals have also been recovered from the hunters. At present, the police have registered a case against the hunters under serious sections of the Wildlife Act and sent all the hunters to jail.

Two days ago, the hunters entered the forest along with their 6 companions, hunted deer, attacked the forest department team and snatched the government rifle from the team and fled from the spot, after which the police and forest department team were continuously searching for these hunters, and today morning during the encounter, the police arrested 6 hunters.

The head constable posted in UP police used to hunt animals 

According to the police, the tallest among these hunters is Mansoor Ahmed, who is posted as a head constable in the police line. He used to hunt wild animals in the forest along with his friends Zeeshan resident of Kotwali police station area, Sapan alias Kala Viplav Bala alias Villa resident of Newaria police station and Gurvinder Singh Abdul Hakim. Recently, these hunters hunted wild animals in the forest and ran away after fighting with the forest department team.

ASP Vikram Dahiya said that this incident happened on the night of 30th, in which some hunters entered Mala forest range and hunted two chital and during the same hunting, they ran away taking away the weapons from the hands of the forest department people who had gone inside to search for them. Yesterday these people tried again in this way and they entered the forest area to hunt, but the police got information from the informer and the police was already very alert. We have caught them during the incident. Weapons have been recovered from them, including those which they had looted. Apart from that, there are other weapons as well. Apart from this, meat cutting equipment has also been recovered from them.

A head constable named Mansoor, who is currently posted in Pilibhit, is involved with them. He has also been arrested in this incident. He has also been questioned a lot. The forest department is expressing such apprehensions that other people are also involved in this. We will continue this action and will also see who is committing such incidents. These people commit such incidents in other forest areas, on the Uttarakhand border as well and this incident was committed by them for the first time in Mala Range. They have been arrested.
