National: Prayagraj Police in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday busted a prostitution racket and arrested 20 people including a woman from Uganda. 13 of the 20 people arrested by the police after busting the illegal prostitution racket allegedly being run under the guise of a 'spa center' at P-Square Mall near Civil Lines bus stand include women. The police had been getting inputs for several days that prostitution was being carried out under the guise of a spa center. Under this, the police suddenly raided the spa center on Saturday (August 30) and busted the prostitution racket.

Giving this information, DCP (city) Deepak Bhukar said that on the information of an informer, a raid was conducted on the spot late on Friday night and immoral activities were found to be going on in various 'spa centers' including Junction Spa Center, New Green Spa Center, Paradise Spa Center, Waves Spa Center. He said that during the raid, some women and men were found in objectionable condition, among whom a foreign woman of Ugandan origin was also found involved in immoral acts. 13 women and seven men were arrested on the spot.

Interrogation of foreign woman continues
Deepak Bhukar said that in this case a case has been registered in Civil Lines police station under section 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 of Immoral Traffic Prevention Act, 1956. 20 mobile phones, sex enhancing medicines and 8400 rupees cash were recovered from the spot. He said that the police is obtaining the passport and visa details of the foreign woman. Police officials also said that the police will continue to expose such gangs by conducting raids like this. Meanwhile, police interrogation of all the arrested accused is going on.
