National News : In Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh, a vehicle of a Bharatiya Janata Party leader ran over Kanwariyas. A girl died in this accident. Three Kanwariyas were injured. All the Kanwariyas who were victims of the accident were minors. The injured have been referred to Lucknow Trauma Center. After the accident, the Kanwariyas created a ruckus on the road late at night. Police from four police stations reached the spot to control the situation. 

The Kanwariyas who were crushed by the leader's car were going from Mahmudabad to Bhagauli Barabanki to perform Jalabhishek. A speeding vehicle crushed the Kanwariyas near Jaraypur of Mahmudabad police station. Four teenage Kanwariyas were seriously injured in this. All of them were rushed to the health center, where doctors declared a teenage girl Neha dead, while Arun (14), Rajni (12) and Sajni (16) were referred to Lucknow Trauma Center in critical condition. The condition of two teenage Kanwariyas remains critical.

Kanwadis created a ruckus.

After the death of teenage Kanwaria Neha in the accident, fellow Kanwarias were filled with anger. The Kanwarias came on the road with Neha's body and started creating a ruckus. On receiving the information, the local police reached the spot and tried to calm the situation. Seeing the ruckus of the Kanwarias increasing, the police of four police stations including the Kotwali police also reached the spot. All the Kanwarias were going from Mahmudabad to perform Jalabhishek at the Shiv temple in Bhagauli located in Barabanki district. 

Accident happened in Jairampur

According to the information, when the group of Kanwariyas was near Jayarampur village, a speeding vehicle ran over them, in which teenage Kanwariya Neha died. The police wanted to send the body for postmortem after preparing a Panchnama, but the family members were creating a ruckus demanding immediate seizure of the vehicle. Seeing the growing anger of the Kanwariyas, the police immediately started taking action and started searching for the vehicle and the Kanwariyas kept sitting on the road. After some time, the police recovered the vehicle. After which the anger of the Kanwariyas subsided and they moved away from the road. This ruckus continued for about two to three hours. The vehicle is said to be of BJP leader Santosh Singh.
