Beijing. India's National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met. Many issues were discussed between the two, including the management of peace on the LAC and the restoration of bilateral relations that have been frozen for more than four years due to the military deadlock in eastern Ladakh. Also, the Foreign Minister said - China is ready to work with India. Doval had arrived to attend the 23rd meeting of the Special Representative level between India and China.

Doval, leading the Indian delegation, arrived here on Tuesday to participate in the 23rd round of talks of special representatives, being held after a gap of five years. The last meeting was held in Delhi in 2019. The talks began at 10 am Chinese time.

An agreement was reached to resolve the border dispute

NSA Ajit Doval, who is on a visit to China, met Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Beijing. Officials of the two countries were expected to discuss a number of issues to rebuild bilateral relations after the agreement on withdrawal of troops and patrolling in eastern Ladakh on October 21. India-China had agreed to resolve the border dispute in October this year. For this, both the countries had appointed Ajit Doval and Wang Yi as special representatives.

China is ready to work with India

This is the first time since 2019 that a senior Indian official is visiting China. Earlier in 2019, Foreign Minister Jaishankar visited Beijing.
