ND vs AUS: The last test match between India and Australia in Sydney started today i.e. 3 January. In the Sydney Test, Jasprit Bumrah came on the field as the captain of Team India in place of Rohit and after winning the toss decided to bat first. Indian captain Rohit Sharma, who is struggling with poor form, kept himself out of the fifth and final Test against Australia, due to which big questions started arising on his future in Test cricket. A day ago, news went on social media that Rohit was being dropped from the 5th Test, but at the time of the toss, Bumrah told that Rohit has given himself rest from the Test.

Bumrah spoke on Rohit's captaincy

After winning the toss, Jasprit Bumrah said that we have played really good cricket in this series. The last match was very exciting. Hopefully we will play well. It seems that there is some grass on the field. It doesn't seem like there are too many problems with it. Obviously there will be a challenge with the new ball, but if you move forward then it is always a good batting pitch.

Bumrah further said that our captain has shown leadership skills by choosing to rest in this match. This shows that there is a lot of unity in this team. There is no selfishness. Whatever is in the interest of the team, we will try to do that. There are two changes in the team. Rohit has opted to rest and Akash Deep is injured, so Prasidh Krishna has been included in the playing XI.

The playing eleven of both the teams is as follows:

Australia's playing XI for the fifth Test against India: Sam Constastas, Usman Khawaja, Marnus Labuschagne, Steve Smith, Travis Head, Beau Webster, Alex Carey (wicketkeeper), Pat Cummins (captain), Mitchell Starc, Nathan Lyon, Scott Boland.

India's playing XI for the fifth Test against Australia: KL Rahul, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant (wk), Ravindra Jadeja, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Washington Sundar, Jasprit Bumrah (c), Prasidh Krishna, Mohammed Siraj.
