Sports News : Bangladesh on Sunday announced the team for the T20 series against India starting October 6. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has included Mehdi Hasan Miraz in the team for this, who has returned to the Bangladesh team after 14 months. Mehdi did not play in the T20 World Cup this year and he last played a bilateral series against Afghanistan in July 2023. 

Bangladesh has included a good spin attack for this series which includes Mehdi, Rakibul Hasan and Rishad Hussain. Left-arm spinner Rakibul and left-handed batsman Parvez Hussain Emon have also returned to the team after not playing in the World Cup. In December 2020, Parvez scored a century in 42 balls in the Bangabandhu T20 Cup. However, he has played only three T20 matches so far. 

On the other hand, Rakibul was part of Bangladesh's squad in the 2020 Under-19 World Cup. He also represented the junior team in 2022. Rakibul, who made his debut during the Asian Games last year, has played three T20 matches. Nazmul Hussain Shanto will lead this 15-member team which also includes young players like Tauhid Hridoy and Tanjid Hasan Tamim. 

The first T20 match between India and Bangladesh will be played in Gwalior on October 6. After this, the remaining two matches will be played in Delhi and Hyderabad on October 9 and 12 respectively. India also announced the team led by Suryakumar Yadav for this series on Saturday.
