Sports: Virat Kohali, MS Dhoni, Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya are among the star players retained by their respective franchises ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction. Virat Kohli is the top retention announced by Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). RCB have retained Virat by paying INR 21 crore. Notably, a total of 47 players have been retained ahead of the upcoming auction.

Ravindra Jadeja and Ruturaj Gaikwad are the top retentions announced by the five-time IPL champions Chennai Super Kings. Rashid Khan is the top retention of Gujarat Titans. Kolkata Knight Riders have named Rinku Singh as their top retention.

For Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), Heinrich Klaasen is the top-most retention with 23 crore. On the other hand, Mumbai Indians (MI) have surprisingly named Jasprit Bumrah as their top retention with 18 crore and also confirmed that Hardik Pandya will be their captain next season.
