South superstar Vijay Sethupathi is celebrating his 47th birthday today. Vijay Sethupathi, who became a star on the basis of his acting skills and neither fair complexion, has also got the tag of 'Makkal Selvan' i.e. people's wealth. Vijay Sethupathi has also done on-screen romance with most of the big superstar heroines of South. Not only this, Vijay Sethupathi has also worked in a film with Bollywood star Katrina Kaif. Called 'Makkal Selvan', which means wealth of the common people. Shah Rukh Khan, Rajinikanth and many other film stars call him by the same name. Though it is quite common to give nicknames to actors in South India, Sethupathi has an interesting story behind this name. During the making of Dharmadurai, director Seenu Ramasamy gave Vijay Sethupathi a unique tag. The Naanum Rowdy Dhaan actor once shared a delightful anecdote from his time on the sets. While filming the song Andipatti Kanava Kaathu, Sethupathi arrived at the location before the crew. Attracted by the enticing aroma of tamarind rice being prepared by the workers of Munnar at a nearby temple monastery, he could not resist. Sending his driver to request some, the workers generously served him a plate full of the dish. Later when Seenu Ramasamy joined them, Sethupathi shared the tamarind rice with his director which further strengthened their camaraderie. This is where he got his name.
