International News : The ongoing war between Israel and Hezbollah has reached an explosive turn. Iran has carried out the biggest attack on Israel so far. Around 10 pm on Tuesday night, Iran fired around 200 missiles one after the other on Israel. These attacks continued for about 30 minutes. Iranian missiles kept raining on Israeli skies. Israel's Iron Dome system destroyed some missiles in the sky itself, while some missiles were destroyed by American destroyers USS Cole and USS Bulkeley deployed in the Mediterranean Sea. Despite this, Iran claimed that its missiles targeted three Israeli airbases and the headquarters of Mossad.

Israel turned to smoke from Iran's missiles

Iran's agency IRGC has claimed that 90 percent of its missiles have fallen on their right targets in Israel. The distance between Iran and Israel is about 2100 km and to reach Israel from Iran one has to cross two countries, Iraq and Jordan. In such a situation, discussions have intensified about how advanced and modern Iran's missile capability is, due to which it is challenging western countries including Israel.

This is how the war started

This war started after Hamas' attack on Israel on 7 October last year. After this Israel declared war against Hamas. So far it has almost completely destroyed Hamas' infrastructure and its leadership but this war is not limited to Israel and Hamas only. Israel has attacked Lebanon and killed Hezbollah's chief Narsallah. Israeli army is conducting operations by entering Lebanon. Israel is also targeting Houthi rebels in Yemen. Now after Iran fired missiles on Israel, this war has started on four fronts.  

How powerful are Iran's missiles?

Iran has named this attack 'Operation True Promise 2'. Iran has used ballistic to hypersonic missiles to attack Israel. So let us tell you which missiles Iran has used for the attack and how powerful they are and how far their range is-

1. Sejil Missile- Iran's biggest strength is its ballistic missiles. According to a report of the US Intelligence Directorate, Iran is the country in the entire Middle East that has the most ballistic missiles. Iran has a missile named 'Sejil' which can travel up to 2500 kilometers at a speed of 17000 kilometers per hour. Similarly, the range of 'Kheibar' missile is 2000 kilometers. 'Haj Qasem' can also travel up to a range of 1400 kilometers.
2. Cruise missile- Iran also has cruise missiles like KH-55 and it is claimed that it is equipped with nuclear capability. It can carry nuclear weapons up to 3000 kilometers.
3. Hypersonic Missile- Iran has attacked Israel with hypersonic missiles this time, which were presented to the world in June last year. These move 5 times faster than the speed of sound and are very difficult to intercept. Apart from this, Iran is the largest producer of drones in the entire Middle East. It has a drone named Mohajer-10 which can travel up to 2 thousand kilometers and can carry weapons weighing 200 kg.
4. Nuclear weapons- It is also claimed that Iran has nuclear weapons. However, Iran has never openly accepted it nor has it ever been confirmed.
