ndia Women Team vs Ireland Women Team: The Indian women's team will play a three-match ODI series against the Ireland women's team in early 2025, for which both the teams have already been announced. Indian team's regular captain Harmanpreet Kaur has been rested and Smriti Mandhana will take over the captaincy in her place. Deepti Sharma has been made the vice-captain. The Indian women's team has not lost an ODI match against the Ireland women's team till date. 

The first match was held at Rajkot ground

The first match between the two teams will be played on January 10 at Niranjan Shah Cricket Stadium in Rajkot. This will be the first ODI match of the women's cricket team in this stadium. The Indian men's cricket team has already played cricket in all three formats here. In such a situation, it will be an exciting moment for the fans of Rajkot when a women's team will play an ODI match there for the first time. 

Shefali Verma has not got a place in the squad

Young and experienced players have got a chance in the Indian team for the ODI series. Harmanpreet Kaur has got rest and young batsman Shefali Verma has not been included in the squad. Harleen Deol, Jemima Rodrigues, Smriti Mandhana, Deepti Sharma and Richa Ghosh have got a chance in the Indian women's team. Pratika Rawal made her debut against West Indies.
