Sarfaraz Khan Double Century: Sarfaraz Khan got a place in the Indian Test team against Bangladesh, but he did not get a place in the playing eleven in both the matches. Then he was released in the middle of the second Test match to play in the Iran Cup 2024 match. Playing for Mumbai in the Irani Cup match, he played brilliantly against Rest of India and scored a brilliant double century. 

Sarfaraz Khan looked in rhythm from the beginning of the innings and without taking much risk, he completed his century in just 150 balls. He made a great partnership with captain Ajinkya Rahane, due to which he was able to take the Mumbai team out of the difficult situation. He completed 200 runs in just 253 balls and hit 23 fours and three sixes during this. It is because of him that the Mumbai team has been able to reach a big score. Till the time of writing the news, Mumbai had scored 483 runs at the loss of 8 wickets. 

Made Test debut against England

Sarfaraz made his Test debut for the Indian team against England in 2024. After this, he has scored 200 runs in a total of 3 Test matches, which included three half-centuries. His average is 50.00. Once he settles in at the crease, it becomes difficult to get him out and in the last few series, he has scored mountains of runs in domestic cricket. Apart from this, he has scored 4183 runs in 50 first class matches and 629 runs in 37 List-A matches.  

Will he get a chance in the playing 11 in the series against New Zealand? 

KL Rahul got a chance in the playing eleven of the Test series against Bangladesh in place of Sarfaraz Khan, then Rahul scored only one half-century in three innings. Even though he was successful in scoring a half-century in the second Test, he did not seem to be in his rhythm. Rahul got a chance in Team India's playing eleven by keeping Sarfaraz Khan and Dhruv Jurel out. Now after Bangladesh, Team India has to play a Test series against New Zealand, which will have three matches.
