Sports: India's Jay Shah will be the next chairman of the ICC. This news may be good news for many people, but it will increase tension for Pakistan. This news must have given Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Mohsin Naqvi sleepless nights, because the talks Pakistan was making on the strength of ICC regarding the Champions Trophy are now falling flat.
The Champions Trophy is to be held in Pakistan next year. For this, the BCCI has refused to send its team there. The BCCI has clearly said that it will not send its team to Pakistan. The BCCI had also said that the Champions Trophy should be organized outside Pakistan.
Pakistan was getting upset
However, the Pakistan Cricket Board was taking the BCCI's words lightly. It believed that just like the BCCI insisted on organising the Asia Cup-2023 in a hybrid model, it cannot do the same for the Champions Trophy because the Asian Cricket Council president is Jay Shah but there is no one from the BCCI in the ICC.
