Now a Bengali actress has made serious allegations against a Malayalam director.                                                                                                                                                                                                                             Well-known Bengali cinema actress Srilekha Mitra has made serious allegations against Malayalam director Ranjit. The actress has claimed that Ranjit once called her to his bedroom and touched her inappropriately. After this, the actress came out of the room apologizing.

Dirty act during audition

Srilekha told that this incident happened in the year 2009 when she had come for the audition of Paleri Manikyam: Oru Pathirakolapathakathinte Katha. Now Srilekha has publicly broken her silence about that incident after 15 years.

Srilekha said- she called me to her room

Srilekha has accused Ranjit in an interview given to a TV channel. According to Indian Express, Srilekha said, 'The filmmaker called me to his bedroom. The bedroom was dark and there was a balcony. And during the conversation, he touched my bangles and pretended as if he did not know anything. I became a little uncomfortable with this, but tried to continue the conversation.'

Srilekha further said, 'Seeing that I was not reacting, he started caressing my neck, also touched my body. Which was not tolerable. I apologized and left the room. It was traumatic and I could not share this incident with anyone. After the incident, I stayed in the hotel in fear, thinking what would happen if 10 people came and knocked on my door? I was waiting for the morning. It was not shocking, but I know how the film industry works on a large scale. There are good and bad people.'

Ranjit rejected Srilekha's allegations

Filmmaker Ranjit also responded to Srilekha's allegations. He dismissed the actress' allegations and said, 'Film producer Shankar Ramakrishnan and others were present. The alleged incident did not happen. Her (Sreelekha Mitra) audition was not good and she was informed about it. There is a hidden agenda behind raising this controversy at this time. If she takes any legal action, it will be answered in the same manner.
