Entertainment: An actress has accused South actor Jayasurya of sexual harassment. After which two cases have been registered against the actor under section 354 of the Indian Penal Code. Jayasurya had remained silent on this matter till now, but now he has issued an official statement terming the allegations against him as false.

Actually, Jayasurya's birthday was on 31 August. In such a situation, the actor has rejected all the allegations against him by posting a thank you on 1 September. He wrote in the statement - 'To all of you who wished me on my birthday today, to all of you who are supporting me and standing with me, thank you.'

Calling the sexual harassment allegations false,
Jayasurya further wrote in the post - 'Due to my personal commitments, I and my family have been in the US for the last one month and during this time two false allegations were made against me on the basis of sexual harassment. This has devastated me, my family and all those who hold me close. I have decided to pursue this legally. My legal team will look into the rest of the proceedings related to this case.'

'I hope the truth prevails...'
The actor writes- 'It is easy to make false allegations for someone who lacks understanding. I just hope that one realises that facing a false allegation of harassment is as painful as the harassment itself. Lies always travel faster than the truth but I hope the truth prevails. I will be back as soon as I finish my work here. All legal proceedings will continue to prove my innocence.'

'Making this birthday the most painful...'
Jayasuriya wrote at the end of the post- 'I have full faith in our justice system. Thanks to those who contributed to making this birthday the most painful. Those who have not committed sins should throw stones, but only throw stones at those who have committed sins.'
