Sports: After female wrestler Vinesh Phogat and wrestler Bajrang Punia joined the Congress, former Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh has been levelling long allegations against both of them. Now Bajrang Punia has hit back at Brij Bhushan's statement.

Brijbhushan had said that if he had done something wrong to Vinesh Phogat, then Vinesh should have slapped him at that time. Why did it take so long? Both Vinesh and Bajrang were following the game plan of Congress's Deepender Singh Hooda. Brijbhushan had also raised questions on the wrestlers' movement.

In response to this, Bajrang Punia said, "He is a political player. The second thing is who was molested. We did not name anyone. We did not name anyone in the media either. If he is taking Vinesh's name, then he is not respecting the court's order. He is committing a crime because BJP is supporting him."

Bajrang further says, "If you had the courage to slap, then many girls would have slapped you on your face. There are many criminal cases against him in the past. There is also a case of treason against him. There were a total of 84 cases against him. Those cases were not filed by the players. The game he is playing, he is playing with the support of BJP."

On accusing the Congress, Bajrang said, "When we sat on Jantar Mantar in January last year, we did not allow any party to come on the stage. It was clear to us that we are fighting against one person. We do not want to make it a political issue. But when we talked to the government after that protest, they assured us that we will do something for you."

He further said, "But when 16 to 17 girls presented their case in front of the Sports Minister, the Sports Minister said that we are with you, but then the government gave them so much time that they were able to scare the girls and push them back. If you were not wrong then why were your people going to those girls." Bajrang Punia also made it clear that he will not contest the elections.
