Sports: New Zealand's star all-rounder Rachin Ravindra is all set for the upcoming Test series against India. Ravindra, who played his first Test match in India in 2021, has now become one of the important players of the team. Last year, he has further strengthened the strength of the Black Caps with his excellent performance.

Rachin Ravindra had a stellar performance in the ODI World Cup 2023, in which he scored 578 runs and was awarded the ICC Emerging Player of the Year. Apart from this, he also scored his first Test century against South Africa in Mount Maunganui recently. Now, he is gearing up for the six-Test series to be held in the subcontinent in the next few months.

In this series, New Zealand has to play one Test against Afghanistan, two Tests in Sri Lanka and three Tests in India. Ravindra is currently training at the High Performance Center of Chennai Super Kings. Here he is preparing himself according to the pitch conditions along with Ben Spears.

Talking about his training in Chennai, Rachin Ravindra said, "The last few days in Chennai have been very good. We have prepared ourselves for the red and black soil pitches. Players from the subcontinent tend to stay in their lower position for a long time, which can be challenging for cricketers from the western countries to incorporate spin into their game."

Talking about the series against India, Rachin Ravindra admitted that playing three Test matches in India is always difficult. "Playing a Test series against India is a big challenge. It reflects their strong performance on their home grounds. We hope to learn from the previous series and give them a tough fight."
