Sports: Pakistan cricket team has recently suffered a crushing defeat of 2-0 in the Test series against Bangladesh. Cricket experts are citing poor captaincy as a major reason for the defeat of the Pak team. Losing by 10 wickets and 6 wickets respectively on home grounds is very disappointing for the Pak team. But now Pakistan Test team captain Shan Masood has made a big statement on the subject of losing captaincy.

Shan Masood is not only in the news for his poor captaincy but as a batsman, he scored just 105 runs in 4 innings. On the subject of losing the captaincy, he said, "I don't care whether my job will be safe or not. I took over the captaincy to bring such changes in the team that could help the team improve. If I feel that this team is going in the right direction, then despite failing personally, I will remain committed to the betterment of the team. Whatever time I get, I will keep giving my best."

Bangladesh won because of this

The current captain also stressed on playing more Test cricket because according to him, the base of the Pakistan team is getting weak, especially in the longer format. Comparing the experience of both the teams, he said, "Bangladesh has 2 players (Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim) who have played 70-90 Test matches. On the other hand, Liton Das and Hasan Miraz have experience of around 40 Test matches. We need similar experience in red ball cricket. Test is the best format of cricket, in which you need experience."
