Sports Desk: After a spectacular first edition of the UP T20 League, the league is all set for its second season. The first match of the second season will be played on August 25 between the first season finalists Kashi Rudras and Meerut Mavericks. Rudras had defeated Mavericks by seven wickets while chasing a target of 147 runs to win the final of the inaugural edition.

The second season of the tournament will be played between six teams, Gorakhpur Lions, Kanpur Superstars, Kashi Rudras, Noida Kings, Lucknow Falcons and Meerut Mavericks. Each team will play the other five teams twice during the round-robin stage of the tournament. The league stage will be followed by the playoffs comprising Qualifier-1, Eliminator, Qualifier-2 and the Final.
