Three players can easily break this record of Starc in the mega auction. 
 
1- Phil Salt

Phil Salt, who played for Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2024, performed brilliantly and scored 435 runs in 12 matches at an average of 39.55 and a strike rate of 182.01. However, no official information has been given by Kolkata about releasing Salt yet. If KKR does not retain Salt for IPL 2025 and he comes in the mega auction, then he may be included in the list of most expensive players to be sold in the tournament.

2- Rohit Sharma

There are strong reports about former Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma that the franchise will not retain him for IPL 2025. However, no official information has been revealed about Rohit's release so far. If Rohit Sharma is released and his name comes in the mega auction, then all the franchises will want to bid big for him. There is even news that Lucknow Super Giants can bid up to Rs 50 crore for Rohit Sharma. 

3. Sam Curran 

Sam Curran was bought by Punjab Kings in IPL 2023 for Rs 18.50 crore. The English all-rounder has also captained Punjab Kings on several occasions. In such a situation, nothing can be said about whether Punjab will release him or retain him. Yes, if Punjab does not retain him, then Sam Curran may once again get a big bid.
