Today is the second day of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Poland. After the Poland tour, PM Modi will go to Ukraine. This will be the first Ukraine visit of an Indian PM in 30 years. PM Modi will spend seven hours in Ukraine's capital Kyiv. This visit of PM Modi is also special because he is going to travel by train for 10 hours. PM Modi will travel in 'Rail Force One'. The answer to the question why PM Modi will travel by train is that Ukraine's war with Russia is ongoing. Drone attacks are taking place, missiles are being fired, in such a situation Ukraine's airspace is not safe. From the security point of view, it can be unsafe for any world leader to travel by plane, in such a situation PM Modi is going to Ukraine by train. 

Many big leaders of the world have traveled

The train by which PM Modi is going to Ukraine is not an ordinary train. It is a specially designed luxury train. This train is very special in itself. Before PM Modi, many big leaders of the world have traveled in this train. This includes the names of US President Joe Biden, French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Olof Scholz.  

This is how the train started

Rail Force One train was started in the year 2014. People used to travel to Crimea through this train. It was a luxury passenger train which had all the facilities. But then Russia took a big action and captured Crimea and since then the purpose of this train has completely changed. Now this train is mostly used to take world leaders to Ukraine. 

Because of this the train is very special

The train cabins are made from a special type of wood.

Large tables and sofas have been arranged for meetings. 

The train has a TV for entertainment and a comfortable bed for rest.

The train is fitted with a diesel engine and not an electric one. This is so that the train can continue to operate normally even if the power grid is affected by the attacks.

The speed of the train is 60 kilometres per hour, it cannot be tracked. 

Armoured windows are installed which provide a high level of security. 

Rail network of Ukraine

Talking about Ukraine's rail network, it stretches up to 25,000 km, making it one of the largest rail networks in the world. This rail network was built during the Soviet era. It is connected to neighboring countries like Moldova, Poland and Romania.
