Washington. Republican candidate in the US presidential election and former President Donald Trump has been attacked for the second time. There has been a shooting outside Trump's International Golf Course in West Palm Beach, Florida. The FBI has called it an assassination attempt.

Trump was playing golf when the shooting happened

Former President Donald Trump was playing golf at his Florida home when someone fired a shot from the bushes around the course, about 300 meters away. As soon as the attacker fired, the security personnel also retaliated and arrested the gunman.

Here's what happened since the assassination attempt on Donald Trump...

  • The FBI said a Secret Service agent returned fire only after the attacker attacked him and then abandoned his rifle and fled in an SUV.
  • The accused had brought a gun, two backpacks, a GoPro camera and more. Officers then chased him across the county and arrested him.
  • Martin County Sheriff William Snyder said the suspect was quiet and didn't say anything after being arrested. Snyder said the case remains under investigation.
  • It is not clear at the moment whether this firing was done with the aim of targeting Trump or there was some other reason. However, the FBI said that prima facie it seems to be an attempt to murder Trump.
  • Let us tell you that on July 13, Donald Trump was shot during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. However, luckily the bullet passed by touching his ear.

What did Trump say after the attack?

Trump is completely safe in the firing outside the International Golf Course. Former President Donald Trump also issued a statement after the attack. He appealed to his supporters not to believe any rumours and know that he is completely safe. He said that no matter what happens, I am not going to surrender.
