International: since the independence of Ukraine, an Indian Prime Minister made history by reaching Kiev for the first time. From America to Europe, PM Narendra Modi's visit to Ukraine was welcomed. But some foreign media raised questions about the manner in which PM Modi met Zelensky after hugging Russian President Putin. On this, Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar gave such an answer that you will be delighted to hear it. Jaishankar's answer silenced the foreign media.

Let us tell you that during his meeting with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky on Friday, PM Modi first shook hands with him and then immediately hugged him warmly. PM Modi also put his hand on Zelensky's shoulder like an elder brother and assured him of standing with him in every difficulty. But the foreign media raised questions about PM Modi meeting Putin and Zelensky in the same manner. The question also arose because Zelensky had also expressed displeasure over PM Modi hugging Putin during his visit to Russia. Therefore, the foreign media also asked questions to India.

Jaishankar gave such a strong answer

On the question of hugging Putin and Zelensky in the same style, Foreign Minister Jaishankar gave such a strong and brilliant answer that everyone was stunned. Jaishankar said that hugging is a part of our culture. It is not that PM Modi has hugged only Putin or Zelensky. Prime Minister Modi also meets any other leader of the world in the same style. After this, the foreign media remained silent. Let us tell you that barely six weeks before hugging the top leader of the war-torn country, Modi had hugged Ukraine's arch enemy Russian President Vladimir Putin in the same way.

Jaishankar said hugging is part of our culture

During his interaction with the media after the Modi-Zelensky talks, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar was asked a question about 'hugging'. The question was aimed at seeking a response on the relationship between Modi's meeting first with Putin and now with Zelensky. Responding to a specific question from a Western journalist, Jaishankar said, "In our part of the world when people meet, they hug each other, it may not be part of your culture, but I can assure you that it is part of our culture.

In fact today, I think, I saw, Prime Minister (Modi) also hugged President Zelensky.'' In his question, the journalist had said that a few weeks ago, Modi was mentioned in a similar way about hugging Putin. Jaishankar said, 'I have seen him do this with many other leaders in many other places. So, I think, we have a little bit of cultural difference in terms of the meaning of these courtesies.
