 International : Before PM Modi's visit to Ukraine, Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko has issued a big statement about India. Tymoshenko says, "...about 18,000 Indian students were in Ukraine when the war started, who were evacuated. The good news was that some of them started coming back (to Ukraine) and continued their education in Ukraine. The Ukrainian Prime Minister said that for us, PM Modi's visit gives hope for the beginning of our joint efforts towards lasting peace.

She said that I want to express my wish to PM Modi that his visit is successful and can strengthen the hope for peace. Because he is the leader of the world's largest democracy and this is where our hopes are based. So I am confident that his visit is going to be successful. She said that PM Modi's visit will be very successful which will prove to be an important strategic step towards Ukraine achieving stable, comprehensive, durable and fair peace.
